Anniversary Poems

 

Wives are for sharing with,

Dreaming dreams and caring with

spending time with,

chatting to,

Making plans with,

Hoping they come true...

Holding hands with, hugging, kissing

Laughing with and reminiscing.....

Working with to see things through,

and loving

Just like I LOVE YOU

 

 

The written word is never enough

To tell you how I feel

So on our anniversary again

Your heart I'll try to steal.

 

But why today I hear you say

My heart is in your keeping

And each time that I see you

My heart, it starts leaping

 

And on our anniversary

I still feel the same

As I did that special day.

When I took your name.

 

 

 

 

May all the precious moments

That set this day apart,

Stay with you long after

As keepsakes of the heart…

And often through the future

May you relive in thought,

The very many pleasures

This happy day has brought

 

 

On this our Anniversary

I once again pledge my love

Swearing again to keep loving you

On Earth and in heaven above

 

As God is my witness

I'll always be true

Never will I stray

Returning home to you

 

So with 20 years down

'We've many more together

Promising this day each year

To stay with each other forever

  Santa's Mishap Santa Claus on Christmas Eve, With reindeer ready, he did believe. But alas, poor Santa had a bit to drink, His sleigh swerving, he couldn't think. Santa's nose, so brighter than Rudolph's, From what he’d drunk, certainly not the cold. "Santa," the elves warned, "you've had too much cheer, Let Mrs. Claus drive, it's crystal clear!" Jetting around on Christmas Eve no good to blow .05 Surely, Mrs Claus should drive Because if he gets caught by the RBT Then he’ll lose his licence indefinitely  But Santa laughed, "I'm fine, my dear, Just spreading joy, no need for fear."
